The
QuantiLAB
team has a rich history and a team spirit that is rare.

Many of our staff have been with us for over 15 years and have participated in the development of QuantiLAB from when it started as the Mauritius Turf Club laboratory back in 1986 in a small house in Port Louis, Mauritius.

The expertise they possess is what makes QuantiLAB a unique partner for our clients as each person brings a unique experience and education to the team. We are proud to call ourselves at QuantiLAB , a family.

Mr Bertrand Baudot

Mr Bertrand Baudot

Managing Director

Mr Baudot has been appointed as member of the Advisory Council of the International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities and was Chairman of the 2014 ICRAV conference hosted in Mauritius. He holds an Diplome D’ingenieur and DEA from France.

He has attained experience in the management of laboratories in both Macau and Mauritius through many international collaborations and as an ISO 17025 assessor for MAURITAS.

Bertrand has also acted on behalf of consulting firms to advise on the construction of the ECR laboratory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His many years of analytical experience at the bench with high level chromatographic mass spectrometry techniques and experience with building laboratories from the ground up has afforded him the advantage of attaining perspective from the point of view of the technician up to top management.

Bertrand remains very present on the laboratory floor on a day-to-day basis.

Mrs Leigh-anne McIntyre

Mrs Leigh-anne McIntyre

Deputy Managing Director

Leigh-Anne graduated from the University of Cape Town with a B.Sc (Hons) in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Since then she has worked as both inorganic chemist for water testing and food microbiologist.

She has achieved accreditation for ISO 17025 with two previous laboratories and is responsible for the Microbiology Department of QuantiLAB as well as the responsibility of Deputy Managing Director.

Mrs Leigh-anne McIntyre

Leigh-Anne graduated from the University of Cape Town with a B.Sc (Hons) in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Since then she has worked as both inorganic chemist for water testing and food microbiologist.

She has achieved accreditation for ISO 17025 with two previous laboratories and is responsible for the Microbiology Department of QuantiLAB as well as the responsibility of Deputy Managing Director.

Quality Manager

Rachel has been with QuantiLAB for over 15 years from when the laboratory was known as the MTCL.

She started her career in equine human toxicology as a Laboratory Scientific Technician and discovered her talent for quality sytems through her work. She has been responsible for the laboratory's quality system for over 5 years as Quality Manager.

Mr Gaston Lew Chuk wai

Manager of Organic Department

Gaston was one of the first pioneers of the MTCL, of which QuantiLAB is successor.

He has watched QuantiLAB grow and develop since 1986 and has over 25 years of experience in high level analytical chemistry techniques using chromatography techniques coupled to numerous mass spectrophotmetry.

Gaston is responsible for the Organic department of QuantiLAB today.

Manager of Support Department

Educated with a pharmaceutical sciences undergraduate degree from the faculty of pharmaceutical sciences , Ain Shams University ,Cairo , Egypt , Mahmoud entered the realm of Bio-Analytical Chemistry research where he has been deeply involved in different applications of Mass Spectrometry ,starting with Pharmacokinetics research and moving to Doping control , in addition to Drug Metabolism as part of his masters thesis.

Mahmoud is responsible for the Support section of QuantiLAB that drives R&D projects and provides general technical support to all departments in the laboratory section.

Yhannish Jaggeshar is the Technical and sales Executive since November 2014.
